Ghost File Eradicator

The computer you are on right now will remember that you were at this site, and all the sites before this. While on the Internet, the images you see, the movies you watch, the sounds you hear and the email you read is saved on your hard drive. Besides wasting disk space and slowing your system to a crawl, this information can be used by anyone to see what you do while online with ease!

Introducing Ghost File Eradicator (GFE). GFE will automatically delete those unwanted files every time you log onto Windows. The software will search your system for common garbage file locations, and permits you to add as many custom paths as you require. GFE's simple, clean, easy to use interface puts you in control of a powerful search and destroy machine like no other!

By default, GFE will locate and clean out the following locations:

● Recycle bins on every drive in your system
● IE Internet history logs stored on your hard drive
● IE Internet cookies
● IE Temporary Internet Files (caches and other media files)
● Temporary program files
● Recent document links
● Program temp files not in the system temp folder
● Those evil index.dat files no matter how many of them you have
● Flash player shared objects
● Backup Files
● Lost File Fragments
● Log Files
● Old Files
● Crash Dump Files

If you're seeking a powerful and versatile deep cleaning tool, then KMCS Ghost File Eradicator is the file remover for you. Protect your privacy and speed up your computer automatically. GFE is designed for Microsoft Windows 2000, XP, Vista and Windows 7 and supports both 32-bit and 64-bit platforms.

How To Use GFE

This software is a disk cleaner. It deletes unwanted files from your system either on command or automatically after login, including index.dat files.

Designed for Windows 2000, XP, Vista and Windows 7. Requires Microsoft .NET Framework v2.0 or greater. Supports both 32-bit and 64-bit platforms.

Trial Limitation: You are permitted to test-drive this product free for 30 days. The only limitation is that it will not conduct automated cleanup during system startup.

GFE is exceptionally easy to use. A step-by-step procedure follows:

1. Select the "What To Clean" tab. Choose the drives that you wish to clean in the right column, and the folders and file types to be located for removal.

2. Select the "Find Ghost Files" tab. Click the "Find Ghost Files Now" button to search yours system for junk files based on your selections in the first tab. This procedure may take a while as millions of calculations are performed, and may result in a temporary "not responding" notification. Let the program complete it's task. Review the list and remove anything you do not want erased by selecting them in the list and clicking the "Remove Selected" button.

3. OPTIONAL: Select the "Extra Files" tab and either enter paths to folders or filenames to erase, or use the "Browse" buttons at the top right.

4. Select the "Clean Now" tab. Clicking the "Clean Now" button will proceed to erase all the files in the previously mentioned lists. This may take a while depending on how many files there are to erase. There are two options top right. The "Erase Found Files on Startup" option will tell GFE to erase all the locations in the lists every time you log in. The "Run Minimized on Startup" will cause GFE to remain in the task bar rather than onscreen during this process.

5. Select the "About" tab. This is where your licensing information is displayed. You may register for the first time here, or change your license details.

That's it! If you've opted to let GFE run on startup, it will now clean all the locations that it found or that you've listed in the Extra Files area automatically every time you log into your system.

IMPORTANT TIPS:

● Running GFE from it's Desktop or Start Menu link will prompt you to be an administrator on Vista and Windows 7. This is necessary to locate and delete certain files. When GFE runs on startup, it will be as a normal user and so will be unable to delete files with certain security restrictions. Because of this, it is important to periodically run GFE and conduct a search and clean operation in administrator mode.

● Do not immediately search for ghost files again after running a cleanup operation. Many of the files will be erased and so will not be re-located for removal. We recommend only searching for ghost files again after the system has been up and in use for a significant period of time.

● index.dat files are deleted after the next reboot, and will not disappear immediately. Certain Internet Explorer files also will not disappear until after a reboot.

● GFE is a disk cleaner. Data stored in the registry is not modified by this product, and will not be deleted.
